Dr. Francis Jr. S.  Samdao is happily married to Shilo Rose Tacay-Samdao.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer of Theology and Church History at the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as the Officer-in-Charge (office of the Associate Dean) of ABGTS-Philippines. 

He is the Assistant Editor of the World Evangelical Alliance's theological journal, Evangelical Review of Theology, and Editorial Assistant of the Philippine Journal of Religious Studies. 
His research interests include Karl Barth, Indigenous Theology, and Ethnohistory.
